What I Believe
Below you will find my 6 core theological beliefs.
1. THE WORD OF GOD
The Bible is the inspired word of God and without error. It is infallible and immutable. Through the work of the Holy Spirit, we gain guidance and wisdom from it. Jesus Christ is God in the flesh and represents Him fully.
2. ONE GOD IN THREE PERSONS
The Bible is clear in its teaching of there being one triune God in three persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All have equal authority.
3. MAN'S PROBLEM
God created all living things. Although humanity was created in the image of God, we believe that at birth, men and women are separated from God due to the original sin inherited from Adam and his rebellious actions in the garden. It is through Adam that all mankind has inherited a sinful nature and will suffer God's righteous judgment.
MORE ABOUT KINGDOM FIT COACHING
My Mission Further Explained
My overall goal is to impact the world with Christ-followers that are living like Jesus so that God's Kingdom spreads further and further, starting in the Christian's life, then moving to those around them, and finally beyond their circle of influence. This is accomplishable by getting Christians to realize their identity is in Christ and to start living like Jesus.
To become more like Jesus, the bible tells us that we must "put off" and "put on." This is important for Christians to understand because until we "put off" who we were in Adam, we can not "put on" who we are in Jesus. This is much easier said than done. Granted, through Jesus' life, work, death, and resurrection, He has given us eternal life. But when it comes to "putting off" and "putting on," this is a challenge for many Christians - it was for me too. We have lived this life one way, and then Jesus made us another way. The problem is that we tend to cling to our dead self that died on the cross and don't hold tightly to our new, living self.
My ministry is to help fellow Christians let go of who they once were in Adam and "put on" whom Jesus has made them.

I also believe that our physical bodies should be stewarded to glorify God. If asked, "Do you believe you should exercise more," most people would probably say "yes," - and they'd probably like to lose a few pounds in the process. God created a marvelous masterpiece; the human body. Everything about the physiology and biomechanics of our body screams "MOVE!" It is incredible how the body is meant to be mobile and functional.

Regarding my program, I believe fitness comes secondary to our identity in Jesus.
Jesus is the answer.
Fitness is just a plus.
I can help you get into better physical health, but helping you see who you are in Jesus and how to begin living more like Him is why God hasn't called me home yet.
From the deepest place of who I am in Christ tells me that it's the mission God has assigned me to.
Meet Tommy
Who I Am, Starts With Who He Is
Hello, my name is Tommy Chapman, and I am the creator of Kingdom Fit Coaching. I have taken the time to write a brief version of my testimony that I hope you take the time to read. Praise God, for He is the only one who calls us out of the darkness and into His light.

Years ago, I didn't believe God had a plan for me. I believed He had discarded me and didn't want me. My relationship with Him began at around the age of 9 when my grandmother told me about a place called Heaven and a place called Hell. When she finished, she asked me a simple question: "Would you like to go to Heaven or Hell?" My answer was obvious - Heaven was the place for me! She then told me about a man named Jesus and said that if I were to believe in Him, I would go to Heaven. So I believed. Over the next few years, I learned about going to church, man's sin problem, and Jesus dying on the cross. This didn't mean much, for life was still challenging, and after two decades, I found myself as a 300-pound, miserable, depressed, anxiety-ridden alcoholic. I wasn't seeing my kids, I was single-handedly dismantling my marriage, suicidal thoughts plagued me, and every day was the same miserable day as the one before. I was hopeless even though I "knew" and "believed" in Jesus.

There's something significant I learned during that time of misery. I always thought that those who didn't believe in God were very lonely people. But then I realized that the most desolate people were those who knew God was there but believed He had abandoned them. THAT is true loneliness. And that was exactly how I felt. I didn't want anything to do with God. During this time, if you were to ask me the same question my grandmother asked me when I was 9, my answer would have been simple; Hell. I felt I was already living in it and didn't want to be in any place that God was. I hated God, and I made sure to tell Him often.

You can guess that my life is no longer what it was. My life now is nothing I have done myself, but everything He has done for me. If you had told me years ago that I would one day begin a ministry that sought out other Christians to help them understand that Jesus lives in them and to live as God had intended them to, I would have never in a billion years believed you. But here I am.
God has an interesting way of using us for His work when we start listening and following. My hope for you is that you begin to listen to what God is saying and follow where He is leading. Remember; you have the keys to the Kingdom and 100% of His Spirit in you. There is nothing you can't do when He leads.

Christ is in you. Go, and be how He made you!
4. GOD'S SOLUTION
As a representative and substitutionary sacrifice of our sins, Jesus Christ died on the cross. He rose three days later, defeating death and granting eternal life to those who repent and believe in Him. Salvation in Christ is nothing earned. It is by the grace of God that one receives it by faith.
5. HIS KINGDOM IN THIS WORLD
We as believers are to live out the remainder of our life here on earth by glorifying God in all that we do by following Christ's lead. We are to further God's kingdom by being imitators of His son Jesus Christ.
6. THE RETURN OF JESUS
Upon Jesus' return, all of humanity will be judged by Him. Each person will be judged accordingly and either be separated from God for eternity in Hell or be received by Him and will join Him forever in the new heaven and earth.
